Leicester City have snapped up Austrian international defender Christian Fuchs on a free transfer.
Fuchs has spent the last four years at German club Schalke and is Nigel Pearson’s first signing of the summer.
The Austrian is an experienced international defender with his favourite position that of left-back. Having signed a three year deal, Fuchs is likely to replace the veteran Paul Konchesky who’s contract is set to expire.
With 66 Austrian caps to his name, Fuchs will add experience to a Leicester back line, with Robert Huth also in line to make his loan switch to the Foxes a permanent deal.
