It is that time of year again: when the white shirts, colourful dresses and flamboyant hats are flaunted around; when every major supermarket are jam-packed with freshly grown British strawberries; and when millions of people world wide tune in to watch the world’s most famous and prestigious tennis tournament. Wimbledon is finally here, and for me, summer can now begin!

12 months seem like a lifetime ago, but now that Grand-Slam tennis has returned to London, we can begin to look forward to two weeks of exceptional tennis. Here at The Sports Lowdown, our writer Dan Culyer previews Wimbledon, looking at potential favourites for both men and women and outlines which players could be the surprise package, as well predicting who will be victorious on SW19.
